The ONE Reason No One Is Engaging with Your Social Media Posts

In copywriting and social media, we refer to this as a Call to Action (CTA).


Flat out TELLING your audience what you want them to do exponentially increases the likelihood that they will do it...otherwise they're left to read your mind - which they absolutely will not do.


Here are some examples of common CTAs:

🧡Give this post a heart!

💛Comment below with your...

💚Tag a friend who...

💙Bookmark this post!

💜Share this post with a friend who needs to know...

🖤Click the link in profile to see...

❤️Use the hashtag XXX to show me your...


Choose ONE call-to-action per post, and make it good.


Experiment with putting your CTA at the beginning or end of your captions.


Switch up your CTAs to keep things interesting - and once your audience is engaged and participating, you can make your ask BIGGER:

👉Click here to buy now...

👉Swipe to see...


Make sure your audience is warmed up and willing to give you the "small" asks before you go for more.


They need to LIKE, KNOW and TRUST you enough to follow you a little farther down your sales funnel.


Always, always, always include a call-to-action. You're missing a key ingredient for engagement (and ultimately sales) if you don't!
